In smart-home scenarios, mmWave radar boasts accurate detection of people indoors and advantages such as security, low cost, and no privacy invasion. This new approach has broken through the limitation of traditional detection methods including infrared and visual detection.

Specifically, mmWave radar can provide the following features in a smart home:

• Human positioning, people counting, and facility measurement
• Posture recognition, fall detection, and gesture recognition
• Respiration and heartbeat detection, sleep tracking
