Calterah Goes Green, Adding Up Small Actions to Love Earth

2024-03-29

At the end of March, the world welcomed Earth Hour 2024. Calterah launched a "Go Green” week, actively advocating giving more than "one hour" to Earth and protecting  nature through concrete actions.

Earth Hour is the world's largest public environmental protection activity initiated by the World Wildlife Fund, calling on organizations and enterprises around the world to turn off the lights at 8:30 p.m. on the last Saturday of March each year, advocating the concept of energy conservation, environmental protection, and cherishing resources to people.

To Protect Earth, Calterah-ers Start from Small Actions

During Calterah's "Go Green” week, Calterah-ers posted their low-carbon daily routines online, spreading every small action of loving the Earth. They used reusable cups, utensils, and eco-bags, to reduce the use of disposable items; they turned off idle electrical appliances to save every bit of energy; they chose green transportation methods to make the air fresher... These small actions showed their love and commitments to the Earth, like tiny streams gathering into a mighty force of ecological protection.

Calterah-ers Go Green Activities

On Thursday, offices of Calterah across the country simultaneously launched a series of interesting low-carbon activities. Calterah-ers from Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Beijing participated enthusiastically, learning about environmental protection and taking actions.

  • On the "Wall for Marking Small Actions of Loving the Earth," Calterah-ers either marked their daily low-carbon routines or made sincere commitments to environmental protection, conveying their love for the Earth.

  • The "Green Facts Challenge" tested Calterah-ers' knowledge of low-carbon lifestyle while also allowing everyone to learn many green life hacks.

  • Through "Empty Bottle Recycling", plastic bottles, paper coffee cups, etc. were collectively recycled. Calterah-ers constantly remember to practice garbage classification and environmental protection.

  • In the "Plant Adoption" activity, plastic bottles became watering cans, and Kraft paper replaced flower pots. Calterah-ers planted their own green plant seeds, adding a touch of green to the office.

  • The "Low-Carbon Hiking" event allowed Calterah-ers to go outdoors, picking up litter along the way, taking healthy steps while also reducing carbon footprints.

  • In the "DIY Night Light" session, Calterah-ers unleashed their creative ideas, dressing each night light in colorful outfits, with vibrant colors illuminating the tranquil night.

Natural Painting and Lights-Off for Earth

On Friday, Calterah-ers experienced the charm of plant rubbing. This art form originating from intangible cultural heritage perfectly integrates the concept of environmental protection with traditional culture. Each person used plant leaves to rub-print a unique eco-bag artwork, feeling the harmonious beauty between humans and nature.

As night fell, Calterah-ers turned off lights for one hour together for the Earth, calmly watching an environmental documentary, with hopes for a better future of our planet home.

On the weekend, Calterah-ers accompanied their children in drawing the beautiful Earth. Through this joyful painting experience, the seeds of environmental protection were planted in their young hearts.

Calterah mmWave Chips for A Smarter and Greener Future

In terms of intelligent carbon reduction and environmental protection, Calterah mmWave radar chips also have great potential. By accurately sensing the presence of people, they can enable intelligent control and automated management of indoor air conditioners, lamps, televisions, and other devices in home or public scenarios, allowing for more efficient electricity use and resource conservation.

To protect the Earth, Calterah-ers have always been in action. Going forward, Calterah will continue to uphold green values, innovate the mmWave technology, and continuously contribute to protecting our planet home.
