Recently, Calterah has released on its website a set of training videos, in a move to help customers better understand and learn how to use its radar sensor chips. The training videos, produced by a team of senior FAEs and an AE, cover how to conduct purpose-specific operations with Calterah-provided RDPs (Radar Development Platforms), DCKs (Data Collection Kits), and SDK (Software Development Kit), how to debug firmware projects with third-party software, and how to configure SDK parameters and radar sensor parameters. By watching these videos, customers, with the help of relevant documentation, can understand how to configure application-specific parameters and use our boards for a certain purpose. The training videos are expected to acquaint customers with the Calterah Alps/Rhine platforms sooner and help them better understand our products and services, thus reducing the development cycle and time to market. To find the training videos, go to Calterah official website. From the navigation bar, choose Support and then click Training Videos. All videos are available to website users except those labeled “Only for Enterprise User”. To upgrade to an Enterprise User, reach us via sales@caleterah.com. Training Videos on Calterah.com In the future, we will continue to update these videos and produce……

Every year, EE Times publishes an annual edition of its Silicon 100, a list of startups that merit everyone’s attention. Following the debut in last year’ s list, Calterah was named again in the recently released 2021 list, standing out as the only Chinese mmWave radar chip company. 2021 List of Silicon 100 Released Silicon 100 looks at various aspects, including tech strength, target market, financial status, financing, corporate maturity and leadership. And it is believed to be insightful for the investment world. As usual, startups in this year’s list fall into the categories of AI, machine learning, neural network, auto electronics and semiconductor manufacturing that hold promise for the future. Calterah as a leading provider of CMOS mmWave radar chips keeps going beyond what has been achieved with stress on IP and innovation and building greater capacity in providing solutions to ultimately reduce time for customers to develop radar systems with our products. Being named in Silicon 100 again speaks volume about the attention and recognition Calterah receives. And Calterah will continuously provide easier-to-use and more power-efficient mmWave radar chips and make mmWave serve everyone.

Breakthroughs Powered by AiP In 2019 Calterah released an indoor human detection solution powered by 60-GHz/77-GHz mmWave radar chips for positioning and tracking personnel inside a room. Together with the vital signs detection solution, it enables us to know whether there are people inside a room and how their vital signs are. On top of that, Calterah this time works out an AiP-based mmWave radar solution with new features like 3D object tracking and facility measurement, which offers a new direction and choices for markets of smart home, consumer electronics and senior care.   3D Object Tracking With high range resolution of Calterah AiP mmWave radar sensor chips, both azimuth and elevation can be measured at the same time and therefore rich point cloud data of the measured object can be obtained. By processing such data, the distribution of the points in 3 dimensions (length, width and height) can be understood. Based on the relations among the distribution in 3 dimensions and changes in height in a time period, the posture (standing, sitting, lying and falling down) of the measured object can be determined, thus addressing the need to distinguish among adults, children and pets. When combining the 3D object……
