Calterah Functional Safety Management Certificate

Apart from ISO 9001 Quality Management System, Calterah's development process for functional safety related products also complies with ISO 26262. The tailored process follows a V-Model in development and verification. To achieve better functional safety management, we also invited ISO TÜV Rheinland as the third party to audit our process and gained the Functional Safety Management certificate in 2020.

Functional Safety Certificate for Calterah Alps Family

Calterah strictly follows the functional safety management processes to develop radar chips that shall be compliant with ISO 26262 standard. For example, after rigorous assessment by TÜV Rheinland, the Alps family members of mmWave radar sensor SoC chips have been certified as ASIL-B fully compliant, becoming China's first to obtain the ISO 26262 full compliance certification. We are confident that our products can not only help customers reach safety goals of ADAS, but also reduce their time for passing high-level safety evaluation and therefore accelerate the New Product Introduction process and mass production.

Functional Safety Certificate for Alps-Pro MCAL and CDD Software Components

Calterah Alps-Pro MCAL (Microcontroller Abstraction Layer) and CDD (Complex Device Driver) software components have achieved the ISO 26262 ASIL-B product certification, after passing a rigorous assessment by TÜV NORD. This certification covers nine standard MCAL components and seven radar driver related CDD components. The assessment confirms that Calterah’s software development processes for the Alps-Pro MCAL and CDD fully comply with the safety management requirements of ISO 26262 ASIL-B, with software components meeting requirements in safety development.

As one of the few companies to have received the functional safety certification for MCAL and CDD software, Calterah has demonstrated its high-level quality management of the software R&D system. This milestone also underscores Calterah's adherence to high standards across every stage of development, including development process management, safety architectural design, safety coding, safety testing, etc.

Functional Safety Certificate for Calterah Andes Family

Following a rigorous assessment by TÜV Rheinland, the Andes radar chip family has been certified as fully compliant with ISO 26262 ASIL-B across all aspects—including safety management, safety requirements, architectural design, detailed design and implementation, simulation verification, safety analysis, etc. The certification confirms that Andes meets the stringent requirements of ISO 26262 in protection against both systematic faults and hardware random failures.
